The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), which is growing increasingly influential in Iran, plans to develop more specialized units as part of a reform program, reports the semi-official Fars News Agency.
The change is intended to boost the IRGC's preparedness to counter all threats, said Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, the IRGC commander.
