A Kurdish Iraqi soldier opened fire on American troops Tuesday at an Iraqi army base north of Baghdad, the Washington Post reports.
Two American troops were killed and nine others were injured at the army base in Tuz Khurmatu, military officials said.
The U.S. troops had escorted their commander at an afternoon meeting at the base.
