Iran's Threat Seen As Less Pressing For Now

Top Israeli officials have concluded that the danger from Iran is less imminent than feared.

Defense Minister Ehud Barak said that when Iran decided to use some of its enriched uranium for medical research, it was viewed as a postponement of the nuclear weapons program, reports the New York Times.

Iran converted a third of its uranium to fuel rods for use in a medical research reactor over the summer.
