An Iranian navy flotilla is in Port Sudan this week, reports Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency.
The warships Khark and Shahid Naqdi docked in Port Sudan on Monday for a friendly visit.
The vessels are taking part in anti-piracy patrols off the east coast of Africa.
The flotilla's commanders planned to meet with the head of the Sudanese navy during the visit, officials said.
