An Iranian patrol boat pointed a machine gun at a U.S. Navy helicopter last week, reports Fox News, citing U.S. defense officials.
Two Iranian patrol boats were spotted in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday within a mile of the Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier as it was leaving the Persian Gulf, said U.S. defense officials.
A U.S. Navy Seahawk helicopter flew close to the vessels when the Iranians trained a loaded weapon on it, said defense officials on Monday.
