Around a dozen Iranian officials were said to have been in North Korea to observe the recent rocket launch and collect test data, reports the Jerusalem Post, citing South Korean sources.
The much hyped launch ended in failure on Friday when the rocket exploded in mid-air and crashed into the sea, said U.S. and South Korean officials.
The Iranians were from the Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group (SHIG), a diplomatic source told South Korea's Yonhap news agency.
