The European Union has imposed sanctions against Iranian intelligence services for their alleged involvement in assassination attempts in France and Denmark, reports Deutsche Welle.

On Wednesday, the E.U. approved sanctions against Iran’s Intelligence and Security Ministry, as well as two Iranian nationals, Saeid Hashemi Moghadam, the deputy chief of the ministry, and Assadollah Asadi, a former diplomat at the Iranian embassy in Vienna.
