Investigation Probes Death Of Western Naval Command Chief

The head of the Nigerian navy's Western Naval Command has been discovered dead in his home in Lagos, reports the News Agency of Nigeria.

Gunshots were heard Wednesday near the home of Rear Adm. Teikumo Daniel Ikoli, said a spokesman for the command.

Ikoli previously commanded the ship Beecroft and served on the presidential committee investigating an arms deal.
