International Donors Pledge US$1.5 Billion To Help With Financial Crisis

Foreign donors have have promised around US$1.5 billion in aid to support the transitional government in Sudan, reports Voice of America News.

Western and Arab countries made their pledges during a virtual conference organized by Germany. Donors include the U.S., European Union, Germany, France and the U.K.

Saudi Arabia, which said it had provided US$500 million to Sudan over the last year, pledged US$10 million, and the United Arab Emirates promised US$50 million.
