Interim Supply Ship Program Takes Another Step

The Canadian government has signed a letter of intent with Chantier Davie Canada in Quebec and Project Resolve, aiming to acquire interim supply ship services following the decommissioning of the navy's Protecteur-class vessels.
Chantier Davie and Project Resolve are now authorized to begin limited activities to advance the schedule, as well as some financial protection for expenses should a contract not be awarded, according to a government release on Saturday.
