Interest Picks Up For Global Hawk UAVs

The Australian Defense Dept. has resumed its discussions over the possible purchase of U.S. Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVS), reports the Australian.
If purchased, the aircraft would be operated by the Australian air force, but the Dept. of Home Affairs has also expressed interest in the Global Hawk's intelligence-gathering capabilities, particularly for the early detection of boats carrying those seeking asylum.
