The Russian Defense Ministry says that all the “special equipment” aboard a Russian navy intelligence vessel was removed before it sank on Thursday, reports Russia’s Sputnik news agency.
The Liman collided with a Togo-flagged vessel carrying livestock about 25 miles from the Bosphorus Strait in the Black Sea. The intelligence ship sank because of a hull rupture. All 78 members of the crew were rescued, noted the ministry.
