A Turkish soldier has apparently been rescued from Syria after an intelligence operation, says Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
The MIT, Turkey's intelligence agency, secured the soldier's release, said Davutoglu on his Twitter account on Monday, as reported by Reuters.
The soldier went missing on Thursday in the Kilis province along the border with Syria, while on an anti-smuggling mission.
The World Bulletin (Turkey) reported that he had been abducted.
