At least five suspected members of the Boko Haram Islamic sect have been killed in multiple explosions in the town of Biu in northern Nigeria, reports This Day.
The apparently accidental blasts took place Saturday night at an improvised bomb factory in the Borno state town, said police.
Security forces also exchanged gunfire with surviving sect members, a source said.
Some military officials had a different version, saying the militants set off the bombs after the firefight...
