Inspector Sees Construction Delays Slowing Coalition Withdrawal

A senior U.S. official has warned that NATO's plans to withdraw troops from Afghanistan could be hampered by delays in building bases in that country, reports London's Daily Telegraph.
Hundreds of new Afghan outposts, barracks and garrisons are "seriously behind schedule, making it doubtful that the construction efforts would keep pace with recruitment and training," said Arnold Fields, a U.S. government inspector.
