A Russian-made stealth frigate has just been inducted into the Indian navy, reports India Today.
INS Teg, the first of three modified Talwar-class guided-missile frigates, entered naval service on Friday.
The frigate is armed with eight BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles, noted RIA Novosti.
The Russian shipyard Yantar began construction of Teg in 2007, after India placed a US$1.6 billion order in 2006. Sister ships Tarkash and Trikand are expected in the next year.
