Afghan and U.S. troops have wrapped up an eight-day operation to secure a foothold in the Gor Tepa region of northern Afghanistan, reports the Army News Service.
The operation in Kunduz province has involved Afghan National Police, army and local Arbaki fighters as well as troops from the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 10th Mountain Division.
