For the first time, a female Army officer has completed the rigorous selection process for the famed 75th Ranger Regiment, according to a spokesman for the Army Special Operations Command cited by the Army Times.
The officer, whose name was not released for security reasons, passed the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program II in December, the spokesman said. She is scheduled to join the unit in the next few months.
