Medical personnel from the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) have completed a monitoring system for infectious diseases in Sierra Leone, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
At the end of August, the system in the West African nation had been running smoothly for a year, wrapping up the trial period, said Zhang Shitao, the president of the PLA's academy of military medical science.
As part of the program, the Sierra Leonean army set up 22 monitoring stations. More...
