Indian defense officials say they submitted an offer to sell a domestically designed fighter jet for a Malaysian air force requirement, reports the Australian Associated Press.
Malaysia is seeking to buy 18 light jet fighters. India has proposed its two-seat Tejas light combat aircraft for the requirement.
After decades of development, the Indian government last year approved the procurement of 83 Tejas Mk 1A jets, with deliveries scheduled to start in 2023.
