Indian Diplomat Offers Anti-Piracy Plan

The Indian ambassador to the United Nations has proposed a five-step action plan to the world body to counter the threat of Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean, the Press Trust of India reports.
Hardeep Singh Puri listed the following points to the Security Council: track the trail of ransom money; prosecute beneficiaries of ransom money; conduct U.N. naval operations; sanitize the Somali coastline through identified corridors; and enact national laws to criminalize piracy. ...
