The Indian Army ordered around 450 Nagastra-1R loitering munitions from local manufacturer, Solar Defense and Aerospace Ltd. (SDAL), the company reports. The loitering munition is fitted with 360-degree camera capability and is optionally equipped with a thermal camera. The GPS-equipped weapon is capable of engaging targets at a range of up to 18.5 mi (30 km), in either autonomous or man-in-loop modes. It can operate for 60 minutes at a time.
