Independent Palestinian State Officially Recognized

Guyana has become the latest South American country to recognize a Palestinian state, Al Jazeera reports.

Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay and Ecuador have also recognized statehood within the borders that existed before the 1967 war.
