Pro-independence parties have regained a slim majority in snap elections in Spain's Catalonia region, reports Agence France-Presse.
However, the anti-secessionist Ciudadanos ("Citizens") was the single biggest victor in Thursday's voting, winning 37 of 135 seats. A clear majority, 70 seats, went to three pro-independence lists.
