The U.S. Navy's second Littoral Combat Ship has completed builder's trials after lengthy delays, Defense News reports.
The Independence first sailed from the shipyard at Mobile, Ala., for tests at sea over three months ago.
The Independence is the first General Dynamics-designed LCS and was built at Austal's Mobile shipyard.
