The interior ministers of the European Union have agreed that E.U. members are authorized to close their borders when necessary for national security reasons, reports Deutsche Welle.
The ministers, meeting in Luxembourg on Thursday, finalized an accord that would allow countries within the border-free Schengen zone to re-introduce border controls in emergencies.
