A U.S. watchdog has revealed that that the Pentagon spent US$43 million on a natural-gas station in Afghanistan that was of no use to Afghans, reports USA Today.
A Pentagon task force, which was created to help increase economic development, initially awarded a US$3 million contract to construct the natural-gas station in Sheberghan, the capital of Jowzjan province, said the Special Inspector General for Afghan Reconstruction (SIGAR) on Monday.
