The head of Uganda's armed forces says the army is ready to deploy up to 10,000 troops to the peacekeeping mission in Somalia, Agence France-Presse reports.
Gen. Aronda Nyakairima, the chief of the defense forces, told Uganda's Daily Monitor that the potential deployment depends on whether the U.S. provides funding.
