IDF Picks Up The Pace In Search For Maritime Patrol Aircraft

The Israeli military has decided to fast-track a program for new maritime patrol aircraft, reports Flight International.
The decision was made after the air force opted against further service-life extensions for its aging 1124 Westwind aircraft, said a senior air force officer.
New systems and sensors were integrated with the aircraft in a 2012 upgrade program for the 1970s-era jets.
The air force and navy will jointly determine the best way forward for a replacement...
