IDF Halts Controversial Home-Mapping Operations In W. Bank

The Israeli military says it will stop its controversial practice of conducting nighttime reconnaissance missions in Palestinian homes, reports the Times of Israel.
On Tuesday night, the Israel Defense Force said it would no longer employ “structure-mapping” activities in the West Bank except in unusual circumstances.
Future house-mapping operations will require permission from senior Israeli commanders in response to a concrete security-operational need, officials said.
