ICC Rules Against Crimes Against Humanity Charges For Former President

The International Criminal Court at The Hague has ordered the release of former Ivory Coast President Laurent Gbagbo and Charles Ble Goud, his former youth minister, reports Agence France-Presse.

Prosecutors failed to meet the burden of proof for crimes against humanity, the judges said on Tuesday. 

The decision can be appealed. 

The charges against Gbagbo, 73, and Ble Goud, 47, stem from the conflict that gripped the West African country in 2010 and 2011, after a disputed election....
