The Air Force's first attempt to test-fire a new hypersonic booster vehicle has failed, reports the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Armament Directorate.
On April 5, the service attempted to launch the booster vehicle for the AGM-183A Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) from a B-52 bomber at Point Mugu Sea Range in California.
However, the booster was unable to complete its launch sequence and the bomber returned to base with the weapon.
