The Australian government has approved new leaders for its armed forces, reports the Australian newspaper.
Lt. Gen. David Hurley has been named as the next defense chief. He has previously served as Australia's commander of land forces, chief of the capability development group and chief of joint operations. Hurley will be promoted to general for the post.
