Hundreds Of Armored Vehicles Face Retirement In Budget Move

The Austrian government is moving ahead with plans to decommission hundreds of armored vehicles, including tanks, self-propelled and anti-aircraft guns, reports defense-aerospace.com.
The Defense Ministry expects to remove around 750 of 1,150 armored vehicles from service by 2014. These vehicles will be sold, scrapped or used for spare parts, according to a ministry release.
