Huge Somali Refugee Camp Now Faces Closure In May

The Kenyan government has put off its plan to close the world's largest refugee camp, reports the Star (Kenya).
Nairobi announced in May that the Dadaab camp in northeast Kenya, home to more than 300,000 Somali refugees would be shut down by November. Kenyan authorities call the camp a breeding ground for Islamist terrorists, as noted by Agence France-Presse.
Interior Minister Joseph Nkaissery said on Wednesday that the camp will now be closed by May 2017.
