Chinese President Hu Jintao has agreed in principle to pursue new economic sanctions against Iran, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hu told President Barack Obama in a 90-minute meeting on Monday at the White House that China shares "the same overall goal on the Iranian nuclear issue" with the U.S., said a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman.
