House Approval Of IRA Could Mean Big Win For Democrats

The U.S. House of Representatives is set to vote on the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) on Friday, a bill that will address climate change and prescription drug prices, reports Reuters.
The US$ 430 billion bill is expected to receive Senate approval on Sunday.
Legislation in the bill will aid in reducing the federal deficit, lower greenhouse gas emissions, allow Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices, and enforce tax collection on large corporations, said the Democrats.
