The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) supports the establishment of a hotline with Pakistan to avoid misunderstanding on border firing incidents, reports the Calcutta Telegraph.
The hotline proposal is expected to be discussed by the heads of the BSF and Pakistani Rangers on July 1 in New Delhi, said Indian officials.
The hotline would allow field commanders to talk on the phone instead of waiting for flag meetings in case of firing or other border incidents.
