Hornet Pilot Error Leads To Ejection

A Finnish fighter pilot ejected from his F/A-18 aircraft last week after mistaking a taxiway for a runway at the Tampere-Pirkkala airport in southern Finland, reports the Finnish News Agency (STT).
The incident occurred during a night landing exercise on an unlit runway, with the pilot flying with night-vision goggles, said an air force statement.
