Homs Shelling Goes On; Red Cross Still Seeks Access

The Syrian army continues to shell central districts of Homs while the Red Cross awaits permission to enter the city, Reuters reports.

The government and the rebels have agreed to a temporary truce in Homs to allow access to the sick and wounded.

On Thursday, teams from the International Committee of the Red Cross and its partner the Syrian Red Crescent were still on standby.
