Hollande Promises Military Gear For Joint African Fight Against Boko Haram

French President Francois Hollande has pledged to provide intelligence-gathering and other equipment to support the regional effort against the Nigeria-based Boko Haram militants, reports the News Agency of Nigeria.

Hollande made the announcement on Monday in Paris after meeting with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, who is on a three-day visit to France.

The French government is concerned about the growing insecurity in Nigeria and West Africa, Hollande said.
