A British Royal Navy frigate has seized more than 400 pounds (180 kg) of pure heroin during operations in the Indian Ocean, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
HMS Westminster, which is based in Portsmouth in southern England, intercepted a suspicious dhow, reportedly confiscated over 70 bales of the drugs, estimated to have a street value of US$22 million, said the MoD.
The date of the operation was not released; the MoD account was dated Monday.
