HMAS Parramatta To Enforce U.N. Sanctions On N. Korea

The Royal Australian Navy is sending the frigate HMAS Parramatta to join the international effort to enforce United Nations sanctions against North Korea, reports the Australian Dept. of Defense.
As part of the deployment, the Parramatta will monitor and deter ship-to-ship transfers of sanctioned goods that violate U.N. sanctions, the department said on Oct. 24.
The Parramatta has been on an East Asia deployment with the destroyer Hobart and sister ship Stuart.
