The governments of China and Japan are planning meetings to discuss maritime security, reports the Kyodo News Agency.
A first meeting, likely to be held in Beijing, may be announced during planned talks this weekend between Japanese Foreign Minister Koichiro Genba and his Chinese counterpart, Yang Jiechi, said unnamed diplomatic sources.
