Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has launched a new combat support ship for the South Korean navy, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
On Tuesday, the 10,000-ton Soyang was shown publicly for the first time at the company's yard in Ulsan, about 410 km (254 mi) southeast of Seoul.
The support vessel will undergo sea trials before being delivered to the service in late 2017. She will be operational in the first half of 2018, said the navy.
