Hezbollah Punishes Jihadists Near Border With Syria

The Syrian army and Hezbollah militants have taken control of a strategic valley along the Syria-Lebanon border, reports Reuters.
On Friday, the Syrian army and its Lebanon-based Hezbollah allies launched an offensive. The operation was aimed at former Al-Qaida affiliate Nursa Front in the Wadi al-Kheil valley in Juroud Arsal, a mountainous border area between Syria and Lebanon, noted the New York Times. The area has been used a base by various Islamists in recent years.
