An Israeli helicopter strike in Syria has killed six Hezbollah fighters, including the son of a former commander of the group, according to a statement by Hezbollah cited by the New York Times.
The attack was reportedly made Sunday against a convoy in the Syrian sector of the Golan Heights.
Those killed included Jihad Mughniyeh, the son of Imad Mughniyeh, a leader assassinated in 2008 in Damascus, according to the statement.
