The Canadian air force is conducting inspections on several of its CC-130 transports after the U.S. Air Force grounded a quarter of its Hercules fleet last week, reports the Ottawa Citizen.
A Department of National Defense spokeswoman announced the move on Aug. 8.
The U.S. Air Force grounded 123 of its C-130H and C-130J aircraft for inspections after abnormal cracking was discovered in the lower center wing joint of two planes undergoing depot maintenance.
