Sweden will withdraw its two AgustaWestland HKp-15B (AW109-E) helicopters currently deployed in the Gulf of Aden for anti-piracy operations, Defense News reports.
The aircraft will be stationed with the Nordic Battle Group (NBG), which will go on standby on Jan. 1.
The helicopters are currently operating on the HMS Carlskrona, the flagship of the European Union naval task force.
