Heglig Oil Town Falls To Troops From South Sudan

The Sudanese military says the southern oil town of Heglig has been captured by a surprise attack by South Sudan, reports the Sudan Tribune.

Government officials blamed the attack, which occurred on Monday afternoon, on South Sudan's People Liberation Army (SPLA) and "mercenaries." The town reportedly fell by the next day.
